Christians Ask: "What Does The Emotion Code Have To Do With Ancestors?"

Updated: Mar 28

If you, as a Christian, have questions about some of Dr. Bradley Nelson’s comments about ancestors milling around the stage, listen up, because that is the topic of our discussion.

It Hit Me Hard

Let me begin by saying it horrified me while watching one (old by now) video showing Dr. Bradley Nelson discussing how comforting it was to have these (invisible) ancestors present around a client while she was on stage. I can’t find that video at the time of this writing, but I remember how my heart sunk. I’m sure that would not be the only time this situation was seen on stage. How is this view of ancestors compatible with Christian views?...It’s not.

So what is going on here? Knowing that Dr. Bradley Nelson is a Mormon, I attribute his comments as a reference to his belief systems. There are a few things surrounding the body code that reflect his religious beliefs. The reference to ancestors is one of them.

The question is: Do references like these, that refer to his personal religious beliefs matter to our use of the Emotion Code?

That is what we are about to explore.

Just What Are The Emotion Code & Body Code?

At the outset, perhaps we should define what these are. That definition will be a key factor in deciding if some things spoken by Dr. Bradley create a “deal breaker”.

The Emotion Code is simply a list of emotions. A list of emotions is neither Christian nor New Age. It is only a list. Its intent is to locate the trapped emotion to remove it. This process is accomplished via muscle testing. Conclusion, it is nothing more than a list to achieve a certain goal.

The Body Code is a little more elaborate. It is a collection of lists. It also utilizes muscle testing.

These two systems of lists were put together to help us balance the energy of our body allowing for a restoration of our physical, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing - a noble and innovative endeavor.

All these lists are essentially tools. These tools were given by God in answer to Dr. Bradley Nelson’s prayer for wisdom to help his patients with emotional issues.

Who created energy, emotions, as well as how our body functions? God, right? So far, so good. Would He not provide a way (or many ways) to restore all these to function as he designed them to function? What do you think?

The Reference to “Ancestors”

Are Dr. Bradley’s personal religious beliefs about “ancestors” an integral part of The Emotion Code and Body Codes? No. Dr. Bradley's personal beliefs about "ancestors" are his own, so this personal belief can be disregarded as irrelevant to the function of the tools he assembled.

If needing to know the personal religious beliefs of creators of products was of paramount importance, we would need catalogues to organize vehicles and cell phones according to the religious beliefs of the creators so as to help us make a purchase decision according to our religious beliefs. The concept of using an item according to the personal religious beliefs of a creator seems a little silly once you examine it like this.

The Bible and “Ancestors”

The reference in question to the “ancestors” may actually be what we read about in the bible as the cloud of witnesses

"we are surrounded by a great cloud of witnesses" Hebrews 12:1-2

Dr. Brad may have been spiritually able to discern the presence of this cloud of witnesses, but his Mormon theology may not have equipped him with the terminology explain his perception in biblical terms we understand.

Taking Dominion

Dominion (authority). We were given dominion over the earth way back in Genesis 1.26-28 over the earth. Well, our bodies are made of the earth as well.

“Then the LORD God formed the man from the dust of the ground. He breathed the breath of life into the man’s nostrils, and the man became a living person.” Genesis 2:7 NLT

Having been given dominion over the earth means that we have been given dominion over our bodies and our person. Being a person, we have emotions. This is a tool for taking dominion over our emotions.

From Dominion To Submission

Our soul is where we find "emotions", the Emotion Code is a tool that helps us become consciously aware of what our subconscious is holding onto, providing us with an opportunity to bring these emotions and the associated situations (memories) into submission to Jesus Christ. This may help us work out the scripture which says:

Casting down imaginations, and everything that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ”. 2 Cor 10:5 KJV

The Emotion Code enables us to bring into the light of Christ what has previously been hidden to our (in our subconscious mind). This enables us to choose to bring it to submission to Him.

Offence

Then there is the aspect of “offence”.

It is very likely we are holding onto offence as a result of the pain these negative emotions/situations caused us. This offence acts as a barrier between us and Jesus; preventing us from having fullness of fellowship with Him.

If we maintain offence, we are blocking the blessings provided by God. We read in 3 John 1:2 NKJV

"Beloved I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health just as your soul prospers."

Notice that the health of our soul is required for our bodies to be in health.

Getting rid of offence may be a key to healing.

As these offenses (negative emotions) come to our consciousness awareness, they enter into our "mind". And what are we as Christians supposed to do with our mind? The answer is we are to be transformed by the renewing of our mind. Romans12:2

Could this tool be a means of accomplishing that goal?

For The Glory of God

We read in Romans 8:20-21:

For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope that h the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the freedom and glory of the children of God.

Part of our purpose as Christians, is to take dominion. But how can we take dominion over our subconscious mind, and the emotions, thoughts and memory it holds?

The purpose of the lists in The Emotion Code and Body Code are to serve as a knowledge reservoir for restoring body balance as well as taking dominion over all that we are.

However, before Christians discovered such things as quantum physics and “energy healing”, other folks already embraced this method of restoring balance. Therefore, Eastern mysticism ideologies were able to begin to creep in, thus alienating Christian exploration and usage.

But who created all this? The “Source” or God? To whom does it all belong? Answer: to the one who created it, the one whom Christians call “God”. Let us give him the glory through the utilization of these tools.

The Big Conclusion

Perhaps it is time to dust off the peripheries, and discover the gift of the Father. Now is the time that his sons and daughters display to the world just how profound and powerful his gift of energy healing can really be as we exercise our spiritual authority through these tools, and set the captives free.

Remember we have within us, the same power that raised Jesus from the dead. Eph 1: 18-21.

Can you imagine what could be possible when we combine that same power along with these tools?

Let us close this discussion in this way:

"So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God." 1 Corinthians 10:31
